Want to know about a coach who made a whole country happy, not once but twice? That’s Sarina Wiegman!

Bompastor, just one season in, has led Chelsea to a domestic treble, winning the Women’s Super League, the Women’s FA Cup, and the Women’s League Cup.

Jitka Klimková changed everything for New Zealand soccer! She became their coach in 2021 and helped them co-host the 2023 World Cup. The Football Ferns played so much better than anyone expected.
Before New Zealand, she coached in the National Women’s Soccer League with Kansas City Current. As a player, she was a goalkeeper for Czechoslovakia and later the Czech Republic. She even played in the very first women’s World Cup in 1991!
Klimková is calm and makes smart decisions during games. The Football Ferns have gotten so much better since she became coach. Klimková focuses on team unity and making sure everyone works together. She’s changed how people think about New Zealand women’s soccer.
10. Renée Slegers
Renée Slegers took over Arsenal Women in October 2024 when the team needed help. She already knew the players well because she had worked as an assistant coach there before.
Before Arsenal, Slegers managed teams in the Netherlands and was great at helping young players improve. As a player, she was a midfielder for the Netherlands and played in over 80 games for her country. She went to two World Cups and helped the Netherlands win Euro 2017.
Slegers is really good at studying games and preparing her team. Her teams play fast-passing soccer and try to score lots of goals. Yeah, she’s the reason Arsenal women beat Barcelona women to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2025.

11. Amandine Miquel
Amandine Miquel is proving she’s one of the top female coaches for girls who can make teams better.
Miquel joined Leicester City Women in July 2024 and brought fresh ideas with her. She used to coach in France and knows about different popular women’s soccer leagues.

12. Natalia Arroyo
Natalia Arroyo became Aston Villa Women’s coach in January 2025. She brought experience from Spanish soccer with her. She used to work with teams in Spain’s top women’s league.

Iraia Iturregi manages the Athletic Bilbao B women’s team in Spain and has amazing coaching experience. She has coached in over 400 matches in Spain’s top division. In August 2025, she was also chosen as assistant coach for Spain’s national team with Sonia Bermúdez.

Corinne Diacre made history by being one of the first female coaches to manage a men’s professional team in France. How brave is that? She managed France’s women’s team from 2017 to 2022.
As a player, Diacre was France’s captain. She played in over 120 games for her country as a midfielder. She was tough and never backed down from anyone.
Diacre is known for being very strict with her players. She wants them to give everything they have. During her time with France, she helped them reach the semi-finals of Euro 2022.

Unfortunately, Diacre’s time with France was filled with controversy. On 9 March 2023, the France Football Federation dismissed her after reports that several key players, including captain Wendie Renard, refused to play under her.
21. Montse Tomé
And to end our list of female soccer managers in women’s football, 2025 is Montse Tomé. She managed Spain’s women’s national team from 2023 to 2025. She took over after Jorge Vilda’s controversial kiss. Under her leadership, Spain won the Nations League and finished fourth at the Paris Olympics.
She helped Spain reach the Euro 2025 final, where they lost to England in a penalty shootout. After that loss, her contract wasn’t renewed, and Sonia Bermúdez replaced her. Tomé had worked as an assistant coach with Spain before getting the top job.
